Let Dr. Nancy show you 5 ways to feed cat/dog milk and goat milk powder. Pet parents, get your pens ready!
1. Warm Up the Tummy in Winter
With the cold winter approaching, are you still feeding your pets ice-cold food?
Try using warm milk or goat milk powder—either served directly, used to soak kibble, or mixed with canned food. It warms both their stomach and their heart. The ideal water temperature is around 37°C-40°C. To preserve the nutrients, it’s best not to exceed 45°C.
If you don’t have a thermometer, drop a few drops on the back of your hand. If it feels warm but not scalding, it's perfect.
2. For Newborn Kittens and Puppies
Ideally, newborns should drink milk directly from their mothers. However, if the mother's milk supply is insufficient or they have been separated, pet milk or goat milk powder can be used as a supplement. Feed in small, frequent meals. Since newborns have sensitive digestive systems and unknown lactose tolerance, goat milk powder is recommended. It uses β-casein as its primary protein and has fat globules only 1/3 the size of cow's milk, making it hypoallergenic, easier to digest, and naturally gentle on the digestive tract.
3. For Weaning Kittens and Puppies
Around 1-3 months old, puppies and kittens start growing teeth and cannot eat hard food. You can soak kibble in milk or goat milk powder for a few minutes until it softens, helping them transition through the weaning process.
If you have an infant at home, do not give your pets human baby formula for convenience. Baby formula is designed for human nutritional needs and is very high in lactose, which dogs and cats have a limited ability to digest. Therefore, human baby formula is not suitable for pets!
Please choose products specifically formulated for pets, such as dog milk powder, cat milk powder, dog goat milk, or cat goat milk.
4. Nutritional Support for Senior Pets
Dogs and cats age about 7-10 times faster than humans. Once their bodies show signs of aging or illness, it is difficult to return to their peak health. It is recommended to start providing supplements and pet milk powder from age 6 to boost nutrition and strengthen their immune system.
5. For Picky Eaters or Pets That Dislike Water
Is your pet a picky eater? Or do they refuse to drink enough water?
You can mix milk or goat milk powder into their food or add a bit to their water to enhance palatability. They’ll love the taste and keep coming back for more.
